The Behavioral Health Program offers individual counseling for mental health and substance use issues to adults and adolescents.

Individual therapy is a collaborative process through which individuals work one-on-one with a trained licensed counselors in a safe, caring, and confidential environment. The goals is to talk through mental health and substance use issues and help clients explore their feelings, beliefs, or behaviors, identify aspects of their lives that they would like to change, better understand themselves and others, set personal goals, and work toward desired change.

Our licensed counselors are skilled in various therapeutic techniques which will allow individuals to learn coping mechanisms, facilitate change, increase one’s sense of well-being, and improve overall quality of life.

Good therapy is client-driven, respectful, culturally sensitive, and affirmative. Specific goals for therapy are determined by you and your therapist based on short-term counseling, typically once or twice weekly for 12-20 sessions.
