PrEP/PEP HIV Prevention

PrEP/PEP are treatments that are effective at reducing the risk of HIV infection when taken as prescribed. Since PrEP only protects against HIV, condom use is still important for the protection against other STIs. Condom use is also important to help prevent HIV if PrEP is not taken as prescribed.

What is PrEP/PEP?

PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) and PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis) are ways for people to prevent HIV infection. These medicines keep the virus from establishing a permanent infection when someone is exposed to HIV.

Where to Get PrEP/PEP

The Nelson-Tebedo Sexual Health Clinic is located on Cedar Springs at Throckmorton. We offer PrEP/PEP prescriptions for people who are at high risk of being exposed to HIV, with a focus on men who have sex with men. Se habla español.
