Resource Center provides health, community, and advocacy programs for LGBTQIA+ individuals and critical assistance to people affected by HIV/AIDS. From our pantry program, which helps to feed those most vulnerable in our community, to our health and advocacy programs, the Center relies on the generous support of individuals like you to strengthen our communities and provide life-changing support to people in need. With your help, we work to improve the lives of more than 62,000 people every year.
More than 125,000 transgender people live in Texas, and face barriers to safe, affordable, and nonjudgmental care and treatment. The programs and services at the Center are specifically designed to take into consideration the specific needs of transgender people.
One of our many community programs, Youth First, serves LGBTQIA+ and allied youth and equips them with the tools and resources they need to live an authentic life through year-round, free events that decrease high-risk behaviors, reduce social isolation, and boost self-esteem.
Weight loss and malnutrition continue to be common problems with HIV and can contribute to the disease’s progression. As part of our HIV/AIDS services, our health campus provides nutritious meals and food products distributed through weekday hot meal and food pantry programs.
Resource Center is creating an LGBTQIA+ friendly affordable senior housing facility with affirming opportunities for socialization, recreation, and emotional support. Our vision is to transform the way LGBTQIA+ older adults live, access services, and develop community support for generations to come.
