Youth & Family

Youth counseling provides an opportunity to work one-on-one or in a group with other young people in similar situations along with a counselor to recover from an upsetting experience, explore thoughts and feelings, or for guidance and support when dealing with a difficult issue

Each counseling experience is unique just as every individual is unique. You can turn to counseling for:

  • Sexual orientation identity
  • Gender expression/identity
  • Bullying
  • Sibling support
  • Depression or sadness
  • Anxiety
  • Trauma
  • Substance misuse
  • Stress
  • Coming Out
  • Self-Discovery
  • Family Therapy
  • Supportive parenting of diverse youth
  • LGBT parent support
  • Academic performance
  • Grief/Loss
  • Self esteem
  • Behavior choices
  • Assessment and Affirming Referrals
  • Other issues

A free, confidential appointment is made with an intake counselor to determine your counseling goals and needs.  Most clients can then be scheduled for regular counseling service with us.  Referrals can be made if the presenting issues are best served by another program.  All services are offered on a sliding scale basis.  We do not accept insurance.
